You have a choice – Hebrews 12:18-29

There are choices that are foundational that affect every area of life; relationships, career, goals, and fundamental philosophy. The problem is that these are so basic that we often overlook them for the needs of the moment. This week we compare what we settle for when we think about what we could have. It’s a sobering yet exciting thought that a course change can change our entire outlook on life. Read through the passage for a great backdrop for our study.

A Romanian Garage Sale – This Saturday (5/28) and in June (TBD)

Clean out your garage and be a generous Romanian Team participant at the same time. Vanessa Thomas and Kristen Foster are putting together a garage sale at Vanessa’s house. You can help with all that stuff you have been meaning to go through. Contact Vanessa at vanessarthomas@yahoo.com, or at 805-484-2921 for delivery or pick up details. You’ll also find some great bargains at her house (219 Via Olivera in Camarillo) from 7 – 11 am. Let’s get behind them and spur them on toward Romania in July.

VBS – We need Cave Quest Outfitters & Guides

You can help our first followers at VBS by volunteering for snacks, games, and decor to set the stage for a great experience. We also need small group guides who will guide them through their daily journey as they travel closer to Christ not only for a week, but for a lifetime. Go to the online volunteer signup or stop by the Cave Quest table in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Darcie for more information.

Keep the recyclables coming in for Youth Romanian Connection!

Baptisms scheduled for June 26th

It’s exciting when people visibly demonstrate their faith in Christ. If you would like to be baptized or find out more information, email me (Jim) and I’ll walk you through the details.

I’m praying for an awesome Sunday as we think about some soaring principles that can change our whole outlook on life. Please make a special effort to be in service on Sunday.

In Christ,
Jim
