The Sunday Update | September 4, 2016

HOLDING THE LINE, staying the course, finishing well are phrases in our vocabulary because it is so tough to do. Examples are all around us of people who started out well in life, in marriage, in faith, or in so many other endeavors but got tripped up. Sunday Paul challenges Timothy (and us) to stay the course and gives us resources to do so. Be here for this great challenge from 1 Timothy 1:18-22. Don’t forget that communion Sunday will be a great capstone to our service as we dedicate ourselves anew!

Sermon-Based Small Groups coming week of September 18th

Small groups are one of the primary ways people get connected to the Lord, to one another, and to Chapel City Church. They serve as a practical way to see scripture embedded in our lives. We are working hard to get every person interested into a small group so register your interest here to get you on the list!

Labor Day seems to be the unofficial close of summer as we look forward to a new ministry year. Be in prayer that God will give us a renewed sense of purpose as we consider Paul’s important words us. As we celebrate communion together, let us remember the challenge to prioritize Christ in our hearts.
