New Year’s Weekend Update

New Year’s Weekend Update

NEW YEAR’S DAY – 9 AM SERVICE
“Raising the Ebenezer”

Sunday we raise a memorial to God’s faithfulness – an Ebenezer (“God has brought us to this point”). What has God done that reminds you of his blessing and trustworthiness in your life? What name, word, or phrase captures that. Think ahead in preparation for an awesome expression of faith in our service. We’ll lay the foundation in scripture, then build a memorial as testimony to God’s faithfulness. We’ll cap our service with communion and begin the new year by honoring Christ on this special day.

BAPTISMS – JANUARY 8

If you’ve never been baptized as a believer, take the next step in your spiritual journey! Be sure to check the link “learn more” to sign up or to get more information. We’re here to help in this important step of faith. Click here for more information.

Shortfall

We are looking forward to new and exciting times in 2017 but we need your help! Our giving has fallen off this past year. We are working hard to control spending, but it’s not enough. There’s more information coming soon, but you can help us now with a special year-end gift and your faithful support of this work! Checks postmarked 2016 or dated 2016 and included in Sunday’s offering can still be counted on this year’s giving.

Sunday is unusual in a number of ways. It’s a family-oriented service with lots of visual ques to keep our kids (and our adults) involved in a meaningful service. There will be child care for those preschool and below but it will be a family worship time. With only one service, it may be a little crowded, but the enthusiasm will be great! Get here early for a great seat and be in prayer for a faith-building encounter with God. Hope to see you in service on Sunday.

In Christ,
