Our Mission (Why do we exist?)
To invite all people to receive, demonstrate, and declare God’s transforming grace (Matthew 5:16). God’s grace freely offered through Jesus Christ really does transform people’s lives. We want our lives to be that invitation by being a visual expression of changed lives and a verbal explanation of how our lives have been transformed by Jesus.
Values (What do we value?)
- Scripture – Learning it, living it, and declaring it (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Scripture guides our lives and governs our actions. We are people of the Word.
- Relationship – Sharing faith and love, struggles, and victories to transform lives (John 13:35; 1 John 4:7-11; Hebrews 10:24-25; Galatians 6:1-4). We are better together than we are alone. God uses the Holy Spirit in the relationships forged in the church to change our lives and make us more like Christ.
- Generosity – Freely giving our resources, our time, and ourselves in sacrifice to the Lord and to others (Proverbs 11:24-25; 1 Timothy 6:18). As God has been generous to us, so we live generously with one another. We do not live our lives solely for our own benefit.
- Discipleship – Engaging people for faith in Christ; equipping believers for life and service (Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:12-13; John 17:18). We want to go beyond initial faith to actively growing in service to Christ in the church and the world.
