The Biggest Zero of All

The Biggest Zero of All

Some of the people in the first Christmas fulfilled noble roles that called for devotion, sacrifice, and significance; others, not so much. We want to emulate those heroes of Christmas, and definitely don’t want to copy the zeros. Sunday we take a look at the biggest zero of all and realize that while we might not make his mistake in degree, we can err in kind. Let’s follow up the celebration of our kids to motivate us to avoid the kind of error that turns us into a zero. Read Matthew 2:1-12 for background. It might surprise you how we could be that guy.

Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men. (Matthew 2:16 ESV)
