A Certain Judgement

A Certain Judgement

Welcome to Chapel City Church! This week we will work through the next warning passage in the Book of Hebrews. These warnings started off relatively gently: Don’t drift! By this time, they have progressed to include some difficult language. The author’s argument isn’t confusing or difficult to follow, but the reality of what he says is severe. He has spent the last few chapters building up to the privileges we looked at in 10:19-25. Because of all that Christ has done, we can draw near to God, hold fast to our hope, and stir one another up to love and good deeds. But what if we don’t? What happens if we take all of the beauty of the New Covenant, all the grace of those better promises, and reject them? Is there hope outside of Christ? What can we anticipate if we ignore the work of the Son? We would love to answer any questions you have and to know how we can pray specifically for you. Please reach out through email, phone call, or a connection card and let us know!

For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:30-31
