A Faith that Perseves

Welcome to Chapel City Church! This week we return to our study in the Book of Hebrews, and we will finish working through chapter 10. The last time we were here, we went through a serious warning passage. The author makes it clear that if you turn away from Christ, there is no hope of salvation in anything else. But what is the alternative? When they were first saved, these precious people endured a period of real suffering. However, they responded with joyful obedience driven by their faith. Now, under renewed persecution, they risk shrinking back and returning to the Law. But what prompted their faithful response before, and what do they need to be reminded of to be found faithful again? What are they hoping for, and how does that hope make suffering bearable?
