Contrasting Covenants

Welcome to Chapel City Church! Last week the author of Hebrews gave us a summary in the middle of the book. He pointed us backwards to where he’s been, and gave us a preview of where he’s going. And where he’s going for the next couple of chapters is a wonderfully encouraging look at the blessings of a better covenant. The Old Covenant had value. It accomplished a particular work. But that work was carried out in an earthly tent with physical elements that dealt with external realities. It longed for something more, something greater, something lasting. But what makes this permanent, New Covenant so much better? What hope do we have because of these better promises?
