Easter Sunday: Better Promises

Easter Sunday: Better Promises

Welcome to Chapel City Church! Today we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. This singular event is a watershed moment in human history. This is a day to remember that sin and death were defeated. It’s a time to rejoice in the fact that we have a living savior who is our great high priest and advocate with the Father. Resurrection Sunday reminds us that we are waiting, longing, for our own resurrection. Today, we are going to remember the better promises of Easter. We will look at Hebrews 8, and rejoice in the fact that Jesus Christ accomplished a better work by bringing a better sacrifice through a better covenant with better promises! Knowing the story of the empty tomb is important. Knowing that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven is critical. But understanding why these things matter today, tomorrow, and for eternity will transform the way that we live. If you have any questions, we would love to talk with you. If you don’t know Jesus as your savior, we would love to talk with you! If there is a way that we can be praying for you or your family, we would love to take time to do that with you. We are glad that you have come, and we look forward to meeting you.

Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a minister in the sanctuary and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man. Hebrews 8:1-2
