Welcome to Chapel City Church! This week we come to the end of Hebrews 11 and our study of faith. We have seen what faith is and what faith does. Last week we saw the victories of faith, even in lives that were less than perfectly faithful. This week we will work through a difficult reality. There are times when faithful obedience brings pain rather than what we would normally think of as triumph. Some conquered kingdoms and received their dead back through resurrection, but others were rejected and killed for their faith. The world measures success by the outcome, but God sees these suffering servants as men of whom the world was not worthy. So how does this help us think through the trials and tragedies in our lives? What will it mean for us to live by faith in times of trouble? And why can we do this with joy and hope?
