We have been working our way through Hebrews 11, and the last few weeks have focused on the life of Abraham. We know that he responded obediently when God told him to leave his home, and we know that he waited patiently but imperfectly, for God to be faithful to His promises. It can be difficult to wait for the good promises of God, especially when we might not see the fullness of those promises in our lifetime. But what happens when it looks like the promises aren’t just delayed, but have been taken away? How do we respond in faith when it looks like God has changed His mind? Genesis 22 and Hebrews 11 combine to show us a faith that surrenders completely to God’s will, believing He will be faithful in impossible circumstances. We would love to answer any questions you have and to know how we can be praying for you specifically. Please reach out through a connection card, phone call, or email.
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son Hebrews 11:17
