Welcome to Chapel City Church! This week we will continue looking at the faith demonstrated during the time of the Exodus. The children of Israel had known hardship and slavery. Pharaoh was cruel and powerful. Yet Moses led God’s people out of Egypt without fearing the king. That’s only possible because of what they knew to be true about the power of God. By faith they kept the Passover, a time when the blood of a lamb would stand in their place and judgement wouldn’t fall on them. By faith they crossed the Red Sea on dry land as the Egyptians were swallowed up. But what do we know about that generation after they left Egypt? When their faith was tested, it failed. So, it’s their children who will enter the Promised Land. And by faith they will see the walls of Jericho fall. But what happens when you don’t have a history with the Law or the covenant promises of God? Is it possible to move into the people of God if you have a past that’s wicked and rebellious?
