Family Wisdom, part 1: Husbands and Wives

Family Wisdom, part 1: Husbands and Wives

Welcome to Chapel City Church! A couple of weeks ago, Charlie Rutledge helped us think through what it looks like to be wise in our friendships. This week we will begin to work through wisdom within our family relationships, specifically as husbands and wives. Although Proverbs is not an exhaustive manual on the specific functions and roles within a marriage, the book does give us practical guidance on what obedience looks like. Marriage was designed by God to bring him glory and to bless men and women made in His image. But what does it look like to be a godly husband? What does it look like to be a godly wife? What can we anticipate as we walk in wisdom and obedience to God’s plan and purposes for marriage? We would love to answer any questions that you might have, and to know how we can be praying for you specifically during the week. Please reach out through a phone call, an email, or the connection cards in your seat on Sunday morning!

Drink water from your own cistern
And fresh water from your own well.
Should your springs be dispersed abroad,
Streams of water in the streets?
Let them be yours alone
And not for strangers with you.
Let your fountain be blessed,
And rejoice in the wife of your youth.
Proverbs 5:15-18
