Welcome to Chapel City Church! For the last two weeks we have been working our way through family wisdom from the Book of Proverbs. We have seen how husbands and wives are called to live wisely with one another, and last week we were encouraged to parent our children according to wisdom. This week we will cover the third and final portion of family wisdom- Wisdom for Children. The Proverbs are full of direct appeals to children to hear the wisdom offered to them from parents. But what makes that wisdom valuable? What are the dangers that might keep children from moving toward obedience? How do we relate to our parents as we grow and gain independence? God has designed the family to be a place of instruction, encouragement, and discipleship. But it will take open ears and humble hearts to respond well to each other. We would love to know how we can be praying for you specifically. If you have a prayer request, or any questions about who we are or what we teach, please reach out and let us know!
My son, do not forget my teaching,
But let your heart keep my commandments;
For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you.
Do not let kindness and truth leave you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
