Good Friday

Good Friday

Welcome to our Good Friday service. This evening we gather together to pause and consider the cross of Christ. It might seem strange to dwell on a time of darkness and shame, especially given the joy and hope that we anticipate with the resurrection on Sunday. But this time for reflection and remembrance is critical. We are a people who often overlook or minimize sin, and the terrible consequence it brings. Good Friday calls us back to God’s perfect holiness and justice, which demands that sin be dealt with. It also reminds us of the unimaginable mercy poured out for us as the spotless lamb, the Son of God, stood in our place. But Good Friday also helps us walk well in our own suffering. The world is still a sinful, broken place. And as we wait for our own resurrection, there are times of difficulty and despair. How does the cross of Christ rescue our souls, and give us a pathway toward faithful obedience? We would love to know how we can pray for you. Please reach out to us with any questions or specific prayer requests.
