For the next two weeks we will briefly pause our journey through the Book of James so that we might focus on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Sunday we recognize as Palm Sunday, a time to remember the day when Jesus Christ rode into Jerusalem to the cheers of thousands. We might have a picture of what that looked like in our minds. Perhaps it’s driven by flannelgraph pictures or Sunday School coloring pages. But do we understand the scope of what was happening that day? Do we understand what the crowd was crying out, and what their anticipation was founded on? Today we will turn back in our bibles to Psalm 118, the source of much of what the crowd shouted that day. And we will be reminded that God is perfectly faithful to his every promise. If you have any questions, we would love the opportunity to answer them and to get to know you. Please consider filling out a connection card in the seat in front of you, and leaving it with an usher or in the offering box on your way out.
The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.
This is the Lord’s doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:22-24
