James: Faith in Action

James: Faith in Action

Welcome to Chapel City Church! As we turn the calendar over to a new year, we also turn the pages of our bible to the study of a new book. For the next few months, we will work our way through the Book of James. This wonderful, practical book shows us what real faith looks like. It’s more than understanding a collection of theological facts. It’s more than attending church, giving money, or reading the right books. Real faith takes truth and puts it into action. Faith not only changes what we know and believe, it changes how we interact with the world around us. It changes how we respond to trials, how we respond to people, how we pray, and how we speak. In fact, James would say that faith without action is not real faith at all. But who is James? Who is he writing to? How does a book focused on obedience fit with the consistent New Testament understanding of grace in salvation? We would love to answer any questions that you might have, and to know how we can be praying for you specifically. Please reach out to us through email, or a phone call.

James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings. James 1:1
