Welcome to Chapel City Church! Hebrews 13 began by focusing on love. We are called to love with a brotherly affection. That love extends to strangers in hospitality, and to those who are suffering. We saw the call to love well in the context of marriage, and last week the exhortation was to be free from the love of money. This week, we will work through a larger section that might, at first glance, feel confusing. Our author talks about spiritual leaders who have gone before, sacrifices, and lasting cities. But when we put it all together, we will see that the theme continues to be our faithful response to Jesus Christ. He has given us examples to follow. He has made promises that we know he will keep. And he has enabled us to respond with joyful obedience, no matter the circumstances. We would love to answer any questions you have and to know how we can be praying for you specifically. Please reach out through a connection card, phone call, or email.
Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
