Our Great Salvation

Our Great Salvation

Welcome to Chapel City Church! Last week we looked at the destiny of humanity. Although we were created to be in fellowship with God and to exercise dominion over His creation, sin marred that design. Instead of dominion, we see death. But while we don’t see victory in being children of Adam, we do see Him. We see Jesus Christ whose death didn’t bring failure and dishonor. His death brought glory and victory. And this week we are going to dive deeper into the greatness of our salvation. Jesus Christ redeemed our lost destiny, but what does that mean? If this is, as the author said, a great salvation, then what makes it so great? One of the beautiful truths of Hebrews 2 is that it gives us specific things that we can rejoice in as we consider the salvation freely given by Jesus Christ. We should come away from this passage with wonder, joy, and worship. We would love to know how we can be praying specifically for you.

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Hebrews 2:14-15
