Welcome to Chapel City Church! Last week we thought through what it means to run the race set before us. We have the encouragement of the lives of faithful saints who have gone before us. We must guard against sin and encumbrances that would prevent us from running well. Ultimately, we are called to fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, the one who calls us, goes before us, and who will one day complete our journey of faith. But part of running is the realization that the course is often difficult. That difficulty might come because of our sin and failure, because we live in a fallen world, or because people oppose us and our identification with Christ. So how should believers respond to hardship? What perspective do we need to have when the race becomes difficult?
