Safe with the Savior

Welcome to Chapel City Church! We are glad that you’ve joined us for our time of worship. Today we are going to finish 1 Peter chapter 3 by looking at where we find our sense of security. Peter has spent the last large section of his letter calling on believers to respond rightly to authority in their lives. For the Lord’s sake, we are called to submit to every human institution, and to respond to one another with compassion and humility. But humility carries a risk with it. Knowing that authority might be corrupt, knowing that other people might respond with anger or even hatred, the reality is that obedience might lead us directly into difficulty. So where does the believer find security in a fallen world? Peter reminds us that we can trust our faithful savior. He reminds us that our identity in Christ secures us in the middle of suffering, and ultimately secures our salvation for eternity.
