This week we will continue working through 1 Peter chapter 1. We are strangers and sojourners in a world that is not our permanent home. But how should we live while we wait for eternity? Does it matter how I respond to the trials of life, or does it only matter that I got saved at some point in the past? And where is a Christian supposed to find hope in this mixed up, broken world that we live in?
Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 1 Peter 1:13-15
