Strangers & Sojourners, part 3

Strangers & Sojourners, part 3

Welcome to our time of worship here at Chapel City Church. We would love to answer any questions that you might have, and to know how we can be praying specifically for you. Please take a moment to fill out the connection card in your bulletin and drop it off with an usher or in the offering box. As we open up 1 Peter today, we will begin to work through chapter 2. As strangers and sojourners in a world that is not our home, we will be different than the world around us. We have different desires, we have a different foundation, and we have a different message. Peter is going to help us understand that even though our lives are temporary, we can spend them growing in our faith and our obedience to Christ. We can have the confidence of knowing that we are people with unimaginable blessings in Christ. And even though we are only here for a little while, we have a message to speak that has eternal implications.

And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.1 Peter 2:4-6
