The Final Fall

Welcome to Chapel City Church! This week we will continue working through the warning that our author began last week. He has many things to say to these precious people; things that would uplift and encourage them as they face trials. But there is a problem. They are not ready to hear what he has to say. They are mired in immaturity, and must grow up in their faith. Our passage this week, Hebrews 6:1-8, contains some of the most difficult text in the Bible. The content can be challenging to work through, and the interpretations have been varied. Which makes this passage a wonderful test to see how we deal with hard things. Are we growing in our faith and seeking to digest “solid food” and not just “milk?” And the truth is that we need to understand the severity of this warning. When eternity is at stake, we need to hear and respond rightly. So, trusting God to bring us understanding and the strength to apply His truth, we will press on!
