Thank you for joining us for our time of corporate worship together here at Chapel City Church! We would love the opportunity to get to know you, to answer any questions that you might have, and to know how we can be praying for you specifically. As we continue to work through Galatians chapter 5, we are going to see the divide between the Spirit and the flesh. Last week we were introduced to the conflict between the two, and this week we will begin to see the different fruits that they produce. A tree can only produce fruit after its kind. Apple trees will only produce apples, lemon trees lemons, and so on. In the same way, a person will yield fruit, the visible aspects of their life, based on their spiritual reality. Those who live in the flesh will produce those fruits of the flesh. But what are those things that the flesh produces? Is there any hope for victory over these things in the life of a believer?
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissentions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
