This week we turn the page and work our way through Hebrews, Chapter 8. After 7 chapters full of encouragement, warnings, and some nuanced arguments for how Jesus is the better high priest, perhaps you feel a bit overwhelmed. Even lots of good information can feel like information overload! Wouldn’t it be helpful to have a summary of where we’ve been and where we are going? I have encouraging news- that’s exactly what our author does! In chapter 8, we are given the main point of his whole letter. He rehearses the main reasons why Jesus is a better high priest, and he gives us the basic premise and promises of the new and better covenant. He’s told us where he’s been, and he points us toward where he is going. So, what is the main point? If we had the opportunity to summarize this great letter to someone else, what would we say? We would love the opportunity to answer any questions that you have, or to know how we can be praying for you specifically. Please reach out and let us know how we can serve you!
Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens.
