The Path to Joy

The Path to Joy

Welcome to Chapel City Church! This week we will continue to look at what genuine faith produces in the lives of believers.  Experiencing joy, and all aspects of the fruit of the Spirit are one way we see how saving faith changes us in our daily lives.  But what is our part in receiving this gift in the midst of circumstances that are not joyful, or peaceful. Today we will look at the path we can take to joy in our trials through examples from Scripture and personal testimonies.  As God works to make us more and more into the image of Christ, we get to partner with Him to live the full abundant life He provided for us. The path we can take to deeper faith and greater and greater obedience is not easy, but it is also not complicated.  Be encouraged as we unpack examples that we can follow, from David and Daniel to those we worship with today.  If there are any questions that we can answer or if there is a way, we can be praying specifically for you, please reach out and let us know!

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.  Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.  1 Peter 1:6-8
