The Unity of the Church

The Unity of the Church

Welcome to Chapel City Church! Last week we laid the foundation for how Paul dealt with the issues facing the Corinthian church. Because they belong to Christ, because He is working in them, because He will finish that work, Paul anticipates real change. And he doesn’t wait long to address one of the main problems facing these beloved people. This is a church deeply divided. Although they have Christ in common, they are tearing themselves apart by identifying with other teachers. So Paul brings them back to the foundational truths of the gospel that bind believers together. So why is unity such a big deal? What does a divided church look like, and how can we restore what sinful pride has broken apart? We would love to answer any questions you have and to know how we can be praying for you specifically. Please reach out through a connection card, phone call, or email.

Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 1:10
