Welcome to Chapel City Church! The Book of James is not complicated, but it is very convicting! We have seen the call to count our trials as joy, to be slow to speak and slow to anger, to love others unconditionally, and to consider whether our living faith is a working faith. This week, we will work through perhaps the hardest part of the body to bring under control: the tongue. We can work hard to discipline ourselves toward self control in many areas. But to one degree or another, most of us will continue to struggle with our words. James points out that this small member of our body has the potential to contribute to great chaos and destruction if we are not careful. But how can we bridle our tongues? Where does our anger, our slander, our wicked speech come from? Is there any hope in the war to tame the tongue? We would love the chance to answer any questions that you might have. We would also like to know how we can be praying for you specifically. Please reach out to our prayer team, or fill out a connection card in your seat and let us know how we can come alongside you!
