Truth for Trials, part 2

Truth for Trials, part 2

Welcome to Chapel City Church. This week we will continue to work through what James reminds his readers about suffering. We have seen the call to respond joyfully, to think rightly, and to ask for wisdom in times of need. We have also seen God’s promise to faithfully supply that need when we ask in faith. But how should we think about ourselves in times of testing? What attitudes remind us, whether rich or poor, that we have a reason to rejoice? James points his audience, and he points us, to the certainty of what is coming. Pain, suffering, riches, and poverty are all temporal. But for the Christian, we look forward to the perfect faithfulness of God. A faithfulness that leads to blessing in the midst of trials, and a faithfulness that brings eternal reward in the presence of our Savior. We would love the opportunity to answer any questions that you might have, and to know how we can be praying for you specifically. Please reach out and let us know!

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.     James 1:12
