Welcome to Chapel City Church! We are so thankful that you are worshipping with us today. We continue to work our way through the conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus has issued a call for action in response to the Kingdom truth that has been presented- Enter through the narrow gate! As he brings his teaching to a close, he presents four closing contrasts. There are two gates, there are two trees, and this week we come to the understanding that there are two claims. The sobering reality that we are confronted with is that there are those who claim to follow Christ, those who look religious, those who assume that they are kingdom citizens, yet they remain lost and separated from the hope of eternal life. Words are not enough, religious action is not enough, to ensure entrance into the kingdom. So how then do we possess the kingdom? If there are many who are deceived, can we ever really be sure? We hope that you will reach out to us if there are questions that we can answer, or ways that we can be praying for you during this difficult time.
Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21
