Welcome to Chapel City Church! We are working our way through the Book of Proverbs with the goal of living lives of wisdom. So far, we have seen the beginning of wisdom in the fear of the Lord. An understanding of the nature and character of God leads to worshipful reverence and obedience. Last week we saw that the source of wisdom for the people of God is the Word of God. Real wisdom must come from the mind of the creator rather than the limited perspective of any creature. This week, we will think through the anticipation of wisdom. What should our expectations be when it comes to walking wisely? In general, we would expect that things would go better, but do we understand why? What are some specific consequences of ignoring wisdom, and what are wisdom’s better promises? We would love to talk with you and answer any questions you might have. We would also like to know how we can be praying specifically for you.
“How long, O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded?
And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing
And fools hate knowledge?
“Turn to my reproof,
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
