What Man Was Meant to Be

What Man Was Meant to Be

Welcome to Chapel City Church! Last week we worked through the first warning passage in the Book of Hebrews. In a general and gentle way, the author reminds us not to drift from the truth that we have heard. The law was good. It accomplished a divine purpose. But you can’t go back to it because something better has come. This week, we pick up with the thought that closed off chapter one. Jesus is better than anything, including angels. As we work through the next few verses, we are going to see the glory of Jesus even in his humility during the incarnation. Mankind was created with a divine and glorious purpose. We were made to rule over creation as God’s delegated representatives. Made in His image, we were given unimaginable value. But what happened? Why is the world broken? What is the plan for the future? And how does the work of Jesus Christ bridge the gap between the glory that we anticipate and the brokenness that we currently experience? We would love to know how we can be praying specifically for you. Please reach out through our connection cards, or by emailing us at the church office with any requests or questions.

But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.  Hebrews 2:9
