Where did THAT come from?

Where did THAT come from?

Where did THAT come from?

Welcome to Chapel City Church! Over the last two weeks, James has instructed us to think rightly about trials. We understand that they are occasions for joy in the life of a believer not because they are easy, but because they produce eternally valuable things. Trials will come to everyone, but Christians can rejoice because of who they are in Christ. And we know that there is blessing in the midst of the trial, and eternal reward that we look forward to. But that brings up a real question. If God is sovereign over our trials, and if God is good, then where does sin come from? Doesn’t the sovereignty of God mean that it’s ultimately his fault when I’m tempted and found lacking? James reminds us that there are things that God does not give. The nature and the character of God mean that he is not the author of evil or the architect of our sin. But there are good gifts that God does give. But what are they? And if God isn’t responsible for sin, then who is? We would love to know how we can be praying for you
