Wisdom in Friendship

Wisdom in Friendship

Welcome to Chapel City Church! This summer we are working our way through the Book of Proverbs with the goal of living wisely. We have seen that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The Word of God is the source of wisdom and God uses His Word to transform our lives as we apply it to the big and small moments of our lives. This week we will consider the call to wisdom in our friendships. God designed us for deep friendship that promotes our goal of being made more like Christ, but the enemy would love to destroy friendship and keep us from the great benefits of growing together in grace. So today we will consider the value of friendship and how to grow and please the Lord in this vital aspect of life. If you have any questions that we can answer, or if there are specific ways that we can pray for you, please reach out and let us know!

A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for a time of adversity. Proverbs 17:17

Better is open rebuke than hidden love.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend,
But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy. Proverbs 27:5-6

Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:13
