Welcome to Chapel City Church! As we say goodbye to summer, we are also closing our time in the Book of Proverbs. When we opened up the book back in May, we started by laying the foundation for wisdom as a whole. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. A right understanding of God is necessary for a right response to God. And that practical response has been what we have worked through this summer. The last area of wisdom that we will look at is Wisdom and Wealth. Some think that the church is only interested in money. Some people think that finances are completely separate from worship. The reality is that God’s word has much to say about our finances, because what we treasure reveals what we worship. So how can we think about money as an instrument of worship? What are some attitudes that we need to guard against, and what attitudes should we pursue if we are going to be faithful? We would love the chance to answer any questions that you have, and to know how we can be praying for you specifically!
Honor the Lord from your wealth
And from the first of all your produce;
So your barns will be filled with plenty
And your vats will overflow with new wine.
