A HARVEST OF THANKSGIVING

Be ready for a great Sunday as we lift our voices together in thanks to God. Elementary grades and youth classes that meet first hour will be in service so families can be together. Plan ahead so as many of us as possible in both services can share God’s blessings in our lives and we can lift our voices in praise. Parents, read below to see how to help your kids give thanks. Let’s set a tone of gratitude as we become the message of God’s grace in our lives.

THANKING GOD TOGETHER

God is doing great things in the lives of our children. Take some time this weekend and talk with your kids about what they are thankful for. Help them recognize the great things God is doing in their lives, and help them prepare to publicly give thanks for God’s work in their lives. This Sunday is an opportunity for them to share their first public testimony. We will be one family sharing together in service. Sunday is for kids just as much as it is for the adults.

SEE YOU THANKSGIVING MORNING!

Weekend Warriors suit up! Our annual Turkey Bowl starts at 8:00 am at Valle Lindo Park. Come on out and work off your turkey before you eat it! This flag football game (with another for younger kids) is always a hit. It’s a great outing for spectators so even if you don’t play, come and cheer your teams to victory. Just bring a lawn chair and enjoy the morning. It’s a great mixer so invite some friends to come out and get acquainted with Chapel City Church.

I’m praying that our sharing on Sunday will awaken our senses and quicken our spirit. It’s my hope that we will have a landmark service where God meets us, moves us, and transforms our mundane experience into a wellspring of gratitude. Ask God for a great service, a new heart to see his hand in our lives, and to tell our grateful story to others.

In Christ,
