Small Group Mission Statement
To bring disciples of Christ to maturity through meaningful connection to other believers, encouragement toward biblical obedience, and practical care among the body of Christ.
Purpose
Chapel City Church exists for the purpose of “Calling all people to receive, demonstrate, and declare God’s transforming grace through Jesus Christ.” The small group ministry at Chapel City Church exists to facilitate the carrying out of that overall mission statement. We recognize that small groups, both on Sunday morning as well as during the week, provide an essential point of connection where believers develop relationships, demonstrate care, grow in maturity, and serve according to their unique gifting.
Mid-Week Small Groups are much like in-home Bible studies with approximately 8-16 participants. These groups typically discuss questions related to the sermon the preceding Sunday. They meet for 10 -12 weeks with sessions beginning in September, January, and March.
Our Mid-Week Small Groups meet in the homes of church members throughout the city of Camarillo and greater Ventura County area. Chapel City Small Groups are typically focused on getting people to connect, apply God’s word, pray together, and serve each other, the church, and our community.
