The Sunday Update | December 18, 2016

Pain, discouragement, disappointment and fear are constant companions for a lot of people. Sometimes it’s hard to even get through the day. 700 years before Jesus was born, Isaiah, living in hard times had an amazing answer: “There will be no more gloom for those in distress.” We’ll look at his incredible song in Isaiah 9:1-7 and find what inspired that amazing response. We’ll also hear a great God story from some of our kids!

S.O.S. – WE NEED YOUR HELP! We have a budget shortfall!

At this year end, we see that it has been a difficult year financially as our finances have fallen off steeply. We have always been a little too hesitant to share our financials but we are at a point where we have to make some decisions. Would you consider a special gift this December to help stabilize our position and commit to give even more sacrificially over the next 12 months? Your giving will maintain and expand our ministry here!

OUR HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

It seems strange we can forget the Lord at Christmas. Don’t miss out on the chance to celebrate Christ’s birth in this important season.

Christmas Eve: 3:00 PM & 4:30 PM
Christmas Day: 9:00 AM
New Year’s Day: 9:00 AM

We’ll have child care through preschool for these family-oriented services so that families can worship together.

BAPTISMS SCHEDULED IN JANUARY

If you’ve never been baptized as a believer, this is your chance to take the next step in your spiritual journey! Be sure to check the link “learn more” to sign up or to get more information. We’re here to help in this important step of faith.

As we get ready for Christmas, the elders want to remind you not to forget the staff love gift. Your participation is a real encouragement to them and helps make the season a little brighter. There are special envelopes that you can use at the back of each room in our worship center or you can just write “Staff Love Gift” on the memo line of your check.

We look forward to a great Christmas celebration. I hope to see you in service Sunday!

In Christ,
