Middle School G.O.A.T. Camp

Middle School G.O.A.T. Camp

Winter Camp/Retreat

Our winter camp this year is Friday February 25 through Sunday February 27 (which is the same weekend as the high school camp).  For middle school we are staying local.  This is in part so that we can save on cost (and focus more on a summer camp at Hume Lake), and it is also so that we can include as many students as possible.
The theme for winter camp is… GOAT Camp!  We have an Airbnb on a goat farm in Somis as our home base.  This is where we will have our chapel sessions and some hangout time.  The chapel lessons are: Gathered for Glory, Oriented toward God, Adopted in Christ (gospel presentation), and Trained by the Spirit.  In addition to these lessons and small group discussions, we will have one or two “practical” sessions where students work together to make plans to encourage one another in discipleship and service.
In addition we will do ice skating in Simi Valley, a tour of the farm, and some great dinner and Goat Games.
Students will not spend the night at the goat farm.  Friday night everyone sleeps at home.  For Saturday night we will encourage intrepid parents to organize a sleepover for students who would like to do that (one for boys, one for girls).  If you are interested in hosting such a sleep-over on Saturday night, please let me know and we can work out the details.
The cost for camp is $50 per student.  This includes all meals, activities, and a camp T-shirt.
Registration deadline is Friday, January 21.  To register, please send me an email with:* Student name* T-shirt size(Payment can be made with cash or check any time prior to camp.  If payment is an issue please come and see me.  No student will be left out due to money.)
