What is your favorite thing about being a pastor?
Seeing people make connections. I love watching the Holy Spirit grow people to the point where they take the truth of God’s Word and see how it impacts their lives. I love it when that begins to happen outside of what I say, and instead is something that they see happen in their private study and devotion.
What verse or quote inspires you?
Lately I find myself coming back over and over to 2 Corinthians 5:21- “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” It’s a one sentence summary of the gospel message that never ceases to humble, challenge, and encourage me. As far as quotes go I love what C.H. Spurgeon said-“I have learned to kiss the wave that throws me against the Rock of Ages.”
What is your favorite family holiday tradition?
My favorite one is that every Christmas Eve our family opens 1 present. It is always the same gift: matching pajamas. The kids always get a kick out of watching us wear whatever semi-ridiculous thing happens to be picked out for that year. The great part is that usually we get to wear them around other friends or family members. :)
If you had a warning label, what would it say?
Warning: Prolonged exposure to this awesomeness has been known to produce toxic levels of envy. Just kidding. Would probably say Warning: Sarcasm Ahead.
