The Sunday Update | November 15, 2015

In the wedding ceremony, couples gaze lovingly into one another’s eyes believing they have a long life ahead of them full of marital happiness and fulfillment as they navigate life together. Then reality hits. What seemed so promising turns out to be drudgery or worse. In the very last book of the Old Testament, God talks about marriage and how important it is, not only to a couple, but to the whole family of God.

Tomorrow we talk about loving the one you’re with through Malachi 2:10-16. Join us for a serious talk about what faithfulness to God and faithfulness to our spouse really means.

Honoring Our Veterans

Vets and active military personnel be sure to join us in service tomorrow as we honor your service for our country through a special presentation by our students. It’s an opportunity for us to thank you for your sacrifice!

MVV Resource group meeting right after 3rd service

Resource group members, don’t forget an orientation meeting tomorrow at 12:30 right after 3rd service in the Fellowship Hall. It will be about a half hour. Your promptness will help us wind up in a timely manner.

As we wind up our series on God’s Anonymous Spokesmen, we find ourselves, as we have throughout our studies, in a passage that seems as though it could have been written last week. Be in prayer that God will challenge all of us to take seriously the commitments that we have made to him, particularly in the area of marriage. It’s time to renew our vows!

In Christ,
Jim
