The Sunday Update | October 9, 2016

Embracing God’s Call for You can be an intimidating proposition if you think the task is too big or you are too small. Half way through Paul’s letter, Timothy probably felt that way. Sunday we’ll look at what’s required if you are going to step into service for God in spite of your misgivings and what you need to know if you’re going to be effective. We’ll also hear a great God story from Patty Larson, our missionary in India. It is a marvelous story of God’s grace, even through great difficulty.

Looking for Eyes for Design

In November we want to reap a Harvest of Thanksgiving at Chapel City Church. We’ll help maximize that harvest with a team to put together a harvest-themed set for our worship platform. If God has given you an eye for design, here’s your chance to lead or be a part of a design and decor team to help enliven our worship and open our hearts to giving thanks. Contact Pastor Jim for details.

I’m praying that Sunday service will be a priority for you as we consider one whose life was under a microscope and who probably felt overwhelmed by the task that God had given him. I believe his struggle, coupled with the God story we’ll hear from Patty will be a testimony to God’s transforming grace as He desires to work through each one of us in amazing ways. Don’t miss this important study! Hope to see you in service on Sunday.

In Christ,
