How seriously should we take our relationship with God in our everyday life? Our first response is very predictable, but often doesn’t match our reality. As we look into one of the lesser-known of the lesser-known prophets, we’re going to see how important it is that our lives match our initial answer. The reality is that our God is intervening, sovereign, serious, and saving. As we unpack those words tomorrow through the prophet Zephaniah, I believe our hearts will be blessed.
Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:3–4 (NIV)
