There are those messages that hit home with such force that there is an instant response. Such was the message of Haggai. His ministry didn’t last long – only a few months; but it changed the priorities of a people! Misplaced priorities were costing them dearly and we will see how changed priorities can lead to changed hearts – in them and in us.
Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
