All the Fullness of God

All the Fullness of God

We are moving through the book of Colossians, and we have titled our study “Living in Light of the Glory of Christ.” Paul writes to the church in Colossae because they have been exposed to a dangerous false teaching. People have come to them with a message that sounds spiritual, that is packaged as Christianity, but that has departed from the true message of the gospel. The gospel centers around the person and work of Jesus Christ. In order to establish and strengthen the church, Paul makes sure that they understand exactly who it is that they are following and exactly what He has done for them. This week we will look at one of the clearest pictures in all of the New Testament of what Jesus is like. We will see Him in all of His glory, exalted and lifted high over every created thing. And then, we will look at what Jesus Christ has done and why it matters to us. It is our great hope that as God’s word is opened, you will be drawn to worship Jesus Christ. If you have questions, concerns, or ways that we can be praying for you, please let us know. We would love to talk with you!

For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.  Colossians 1:19-20
