Anticipating the Advent: The Promise of Christmas

Welcome to Chapel City Church. We are so glad that you have come to celebrate Christmas Eve with us. This advent season is one of anticipation. We have worked through the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. Today, we light the final candle; the Christ candle. Who is this child that has been born? Matthew’s gospel tells us that he will be called several things. He will be the Christ, he will be called Jesus, and he will be called Immanuel. Each of those names holds a wonderful reminder about what this child will be and do. This Christmas, we hope that you understand who we have come together to celebrate!
