Thank you for joining us for our time of worship here at Chapel City Church! Today we open up a new book that we will work through together in the coming months. Galatians has been referred to by some pretty lofty terms – “The Magna Carta of Christian Liberty,” “The Charter of Christian Freedom,” and other titles that hint at it’s great importance. In only six chapters, the apostle Paul provides clarity on the gospel message, and defends the eternal importance of getting that gospel right. Galatians reminds us that salvation cannot be found in anything that we do, even any good thing. The Christian life is a life set free. But set free to what end? Join us as explore the introduction to this marvelous letter. We will be reminded of who the author is. We will get to know his audience. And we will begin to establish the reason that Paul wrote to a people that he cared deeply about.
Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen.
