Gospel Origins

Gospel Origins

Thank you for joining us here at Chapel City Church. We would love the opportunity to answer any questions that you might have, or to know how we can be praying specifically for you. Please feel free to reach out to us through email, or a phone call to the church office. Today we will continue through the first chapter in the Book of Galatians. Last week, we saw the unique nature of the gospel, and this week we will see how Paul applies some of those principles to his own conversion and ministry. The Judaizers that were distorting the gospel that Paul had preached were not only interested in changing the message. They also had to discredit Paul as the messenger. The last half of chapter 1 is Paul’s initial response to those challenges. But how did Paul come to know the gospel? Why was it necessary in his life? And once Paul responded to that gospel message, what did it prompt him to do?

For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:11-12
