Hope in Hopeless Times

Hope in Hopeless Times

He is risen! Those words have real power. They speak to the power of God. They speak of victory over sin and death. They speak hope into our lives. But in times like these, hope seems to be in short supply. Even if we aren’t afraid of being impacted first-hand by the virus, there are concerns about loved ones, about job security, about when and if the world will ever return to some sense of “normal.” The resurrection of Jesus Christ and the salvation the He gives ought to bring real hope, even in the most trying times. But why does the resurrection give us hope? How does His life change our lives?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
1 Peter 1:3
